Pay up for your poo

LOW ACT: Brad and Adam Ison from Terara are sick of people stealing their bags of manure.ADAM and Brad Ison from Terara have learnt a lot about earning money in the past year.Unfortunately, they’ve also discovered people can’t be trusted. The pair, who are 14 and 15 years old respectively, have been bagging and selling cow manure from the side of the road.Like many roadside produce stalls in the region’s rural areas they rely on an honesty box system for payment. In recent weeks an increasing number of bags of manure have been stolen.“A few weeks ago, 12 bags were taken and no money was left,” Brad said.“Now as soon as we see someone pull up we race out there to help them and make sure they pay for it.“If people think it’s funny, it’s not.“To whoever you are if you don’t have the money, come back when you do before just taking our bags.”Adam said their father Les Ison was teaching them how to work for their money.“We buy the bags out of our money and fill them with manure. We’re not ripping people off – $4 is what most people charge for the same thing.“We’re trying to save up for a car,” Adam said. The boys’ father said the family was getting sick of people either short changing them or just stealing the bags and leaving no money.“It’s their pocket money,” Mr Ison said. This story Administrator ready to work first appeared on Nanjing Night Net.
