Highway upgrade gets under way

The project’s first stageWORK upgrading the Princes Highway between Gerringong and Bomaderry has finally started, with NSW Road Minister Duncan Gay and Kiama MP Gareth Ward yesterday tuning sods to start the project’s first stage. Stretching from Mount Pleasant to Toolijooa, the $350 million stage is, “the largest ever single investment in the history of the highway”, according to Mr Ward. Work is being undertaken by Fulton Hogan, and is due for completion in January 2015, weather permitting.
