Lyrebirds beat the unbeaten

WET AND WILD: Olivia Hale and Isabella Hoskins (obscured). The mighty Bomaderry Bowling Club Lyrebird U12/13B defeated the previously unbeaten Saints outfit 36-30. After getting off to an absolute cracker it wasn’t until the last quarter that the Saints outfit closed the gap to make the final result more respectable. Isabella Hoskins and Rachel Hill were inspirational and given high praise from the coach for their efforts. On the flip side the previously undefeated U10/11A suffered their first loss to the determined North Nowra team 22-20. In this division the two teams are destined to meet in the finals and the bounce of the ball could be the deciding factor. The Raine and Horne U10/11A played their best game all year against Saints but lost 12-7. The improvement of the team has not gone unnoticed by coaches Bob and Laura despite the fact the team remains winless, they are still upbeat and optimistic about better results in the future. Special congratulations to Kyara Simms, Jadean Jeffs and Morgan Dootson for playing so well. Our other winner on the day was our division one ladies who defeated the thrid placed team JB 40-34. Our division two ladies and U14/16C teams lost by the barest of margins whilst the division three and five ladies had days they’d probably rather forget.Last but not least three cheers for our little Netta girls who had a four-all draw. Unlike the week before when they much preferred the warmer conditions and the lack of rain but did miss wearing the odd socks.Thank you to all those who did canteen duty, your help is very much appreciated by the committee and coaches. There is now have two weeks off and games will recommence on July 14. On that day the club will be holding a meat/seafood raffle and possibly selling cupcakes to raise money for our pizza night. We also have a date now for the executive/sponsors night which will be August 18.Last but not least good luck to all those competing in the NSW State Age Championships. This story Administrator ready to work first appeared on Nanjing Night Net.
