Amateur photographer captures the Milky Way’s splendour

HAVING recently retired, Narrawallee resident Jim Hendrickson has taken up photography as a hobby with a particular interest in the night sky.Jim captured this spectacular image of the Milky Way from Narrawallee Beach last Thursday night at approximately 6.30pm.He said it was a relatively clear night with no moonlight and photo was taken looking out to sea.For those people interested in photography, the photo was taken on a Nikon D7000 Digital SLR using a wide angle lens and a 60 second exposure.The ISO was set at 1600 and the aperture was F/3.2.Bill said the DX focal length was 10mm (35mm equivalent 15mm).The light on the right hand side is from Bannisters Lodge.This story Administrator ready to work first appeared on Nanjing Night Net.
