Salute to Shoalhaven’s charitable organisations

SHOALHAVEN City Council paid tribute to the area’s charity and welfare organisations during a special morning tea at the Nowra offices on Saturday.Council hosted more than 200 representatives from local groups and associations including Legacy, Lions, Camp Quality and Shoalhaven Community Transport Service.Shoalhaven Mayor, Paul Green said many charitable organisations have made a huge contribution to the local area, yet much of their work has gone unrecognised in the wider community.“Shoalhaven City is home to over 200 local charitable and welfare organisations, each of which provides huge benefit to the local area,” Cr Green said.“It is the efforts of these groups that make Shoalhaven City such a hospitable, welcoming and special place in which to reside.“Saturday’s morning tea provided a great opportunity to thank the tireless workers and volunteers who put so much effort into helping those who need it most.“I would again like to congratulate all of the area’s charitable and welfare organisations on their efforts and thank them for making the Shoalhaven an even better place to live.”This story Administrator ready to work first appeared on Nanjing Night Net.
